U.S. stocks opened lower on Tuesday despite statistics on house prices better than expected, continuing their trend of the previous day.
In the first exchanges, the Dow Jones was down 0.35% to 9975.21 points, while the Standard & Poor's 500, leaves 0.4% to 1044.73 points. The Nasdaq Composite index yields 0.5% to 2 fast cash.109, 15 points.
The price of single family houses rose 0.3% in seasonally adjusted data in June, against a 0.2% increase expected by economists surveyed by Reuters. But investors nonetheless remain concerned about the health of the U.S. economy.
